I am a rising senior studying Computer Science Engineering at the University of California, Santa Barbara. I have a passion for robotics, computer security, and distributed systems. I spend what time I can the great outdoors.
Analyzed the performance of the cache buster feature of ad delivery using data analysis libraries in python. Identified areas for improvement and designed a new ad delivery pipeline that reduces latency, increases use engagement, and decreases computation costs without losing revenue. Implemented a software cache for this purpose, sped up the logging pipeline, and deployed an AB test to production all within the scope of my internship. Presented the results of the experiment and authored internal documents on the analysis, design, and potential improvements to the cache buster feature.
I worked on a few build system devops project which involved building support servers using Flask, deployments with Ansible, and local Minikube deployments. I also developed new Docker containers to house these projects. Later on, I worked on building a profiler for Intel's Spring Crest Deep Learning Accelerator. Using the chip API, I wrote high-performance, low-latency code that tracked events on the chip's hardware and located areas of potential improvement by identifying potential for multithreading and expensive areas of the code. The insights helps Intel optimize models for their hardware.
Worked on a project to measure currents by deploying many small tilt measuring modules throughout a kelp forest. The objective is to reduce the cost of measuring ocean currents and better observe the effects that they have on the ocean by noting patterns in currents associated with changes in wildlife behavior, water temperature, etc.
Worked and led multiple projects including high altitude balloons that carried micro organisms to elevations upwards of 100,000 feet in order to conduct computerized experiments on them to determine their suitability for space travel in the future. The team was 25 people working from the lab of Professor Philip Lubin, Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department. The code was written on an Arduino and Raspberry Pi in C and Python.
Worked to develop a webpage that displayed clients’ spreadsheets in the browser, ran analytics and suggested modifications to optimize business practices. The page was developed using Node.js and C#. The project was developed using the Agile methodology.
Oversaw the robotics team of 150 that won second place in the Röebling division finals at the FIRST Robotics National Championships in 2017. The project included computer design of the robot, fabrication, wiring, and software development including computer vision.

Outside of Computer Science, I spend my free time outdoors. I am an avid surfer and hiker, and I ski during the colder months in California.
When not outdoors, I catch up on a few TV shows, try my hand as a chef, and read quite a few books.
